Class Descriptions
CREATIVE MOVEMENT
This beginner dance class introduces dancers to the fundamental basics and movement of dance. This class will focus on the development of 协调, fine motor skills, 乐感 and shows young children the magical world of dance movement through the use of 图像, 节奏, games and ballet technique. Along with creative dance activities students will get an introduction to the basics of ballet.
PRE-芭蕾舞
An introductory class to Ballet basics for toddlers. Similar to our Creative Movement class, fundamental basics and movement of dance focusing on the development of 协调, fine motor skills, 乐感.
COMBINATION CLASS
This class is designed for the beginner through intermediate level dancers. These classes will teach the student 协调 skills, 乐感, basic terminology, and the proper use of muscle development. Children will gain self-表达式 and confidence while preparing for the next level of dance. Combination classes are designed to allow dancers to develop technique and skills in the dance genres of their choice.
芭蕾舞
Ballet is the core of all dance styles. Our curriculum is focused on Classical Ballet techniques teaching balance, 的姿势, 清晰度, 风度, 灵活性, 协调, 时机, 乐感, 跳跃, 转, 和跳跃. Advanced classes will have opportunities to learn Ballet Variations and Techniques. Training in Ballet is strongly encouraged for serious dancers, and is a requirement for participation in certain classes.

An introduction to our Acro/Tumbling program, Tumble Tots is a great class for our youngest dancers to begin stretch, 柔软的, 和翻滚! This class will focus on the basics of acrobatics; teaching the students proper stretches, improving cardio and 耐力, training upper body strength, improving balancing, and teaching elementary 暴跌 moves.
爵士乐
Various styles of this classic American dance genre are taught at our facility including Modern influenced fusions of Jazz, 爵士舞, Broadway style/Musical Theater, 爵士放克. 强度, 耐力, and endurance are developed as the students learn various Jazz dance styles in every level. It is recommended to take Ballet with Jazz.
利用
Tap is a classic, 节奏ic dance style primarily using the feet. We incorporate various sub-genres of tap in our curriculum from Broadway/Musical Theater style, 节奏/蹄, 软鞋. 平衡, 时机, and 协调 are focused on, while allowing the dancer to develop stylistic movement in Tap.
当代
This is a beautiful fusion of ballet and modern dance was originally popularized by the idea of 打破 the 行, 风度, and fluidity that Classical Ballet demands while maintaining the same level of grace and strength in movement. Our Contemporary classes combines the balancing, 图像, 分解动作, fall and recovery of Modern Dance as well as the expressive nature of Lyrical Dance.
嘻哈
Hip Hop is an urban-based style of dance stemming for Hip Hop, Rap & R&B music culture since the 70’s. Its evolution in popular culture with music videos and pop culture icons makes it the dance craze kids can’t get enough of! Various elements of Hip Hop are demonstrated in this fun, high energy class. From old to new school, Hip Hop is a stylistic dance incorporating locking, 出现, 发嘎吱嘎吱声, 们所不齿的, 打破, and freestyling.
开头/暴跌
This class is teaches safe techniques in 灵活性, 暴跌, 扭曲, and acrobatic arts skills. This differs from traditional gymnastics as the dancers are trained to incorporate proper dance technique, 行, and choreographic skills to execute 的姿势s, 技巧, and phrases 节奏ically with music.
TECHNIQUE FOUNDATIONS
This is a conditioning class designed for our competitive dancers but is 对任何人开放 looking to improve their skills. The class focuses on strength training, balance, stretching, 跳跃, leaps, 转, and "技巧". You must be enrolled in at least one other class to take Company Tech. There is no Concert routine for this class.
芭蕾舞 TECHNIQUE
This class serves as a second Ballet class for our serious Ballet students looking to expand their Ballet technique and focus. Ballet Tech focuses more in depth on the technical groundwork for proper execution of steps and movement taught in the various Ballet class levels. There is no Concert routine for this class.
MUSICAL THEATRE
This class is centered around Broadway/theatre style dance and performance techniques. Students will learn Jazz based technique along with the various styles, 暂存, 讲故事, 表达式, 代理, character development, and other theatre centered skill sets that are key to musical theatre. Students also have the opportunity to utilize hand and stage props throughout the curriculum.
